"I found that the WOWI is an excellent vocational assessment tool especially for those who have no idea of what career path to choose. In the Vocational Rehabilitation Program that I work for, we give the WOWI assessment to individuals that range from high school to people who have been out of the workforce for some time. This tool has been beneficial in the planning process for a vocational goal for these individuals."

"I recently went through your WOWI training, here in the Seattle area. As a supervisor of 12 Counselors, I believe that this vocational test is an excellent tool for guiding our customers toward a more applicable vocational goal. This tool covers many aspects of the individuals' interests, aptitudes, preferences. I felt that the trainer had an expertise that made the training clear and helpful. Questions were addressed and applied to what we had learned. I learned about the intricate information that can be gleaned from this test and how it pertains to our customers in reference to employment and employment settings. I was very impressed and am encouraging all of my staff to attend the next WOWI training session."

"WOW! The WOWI inventory is an extremely useful tool once you learn how to use it!" The World of Work Inventory (WOWI) was developed in the 1970's by Dr. Ripley, and has been researched and normed with thousands of individuals. CU-Boulder hosted a training session in July for about 30 individuals in the state. In the introduction, the facilitator discussed the three assumptions WOWI is based:
This inventory is a nice supplement to Strong and MBTI due to measuring aptitudes. The facilitator gives clear and meaningful ways to discuss the section, especially if it may become sensitive. He gives a simple formula to find what MAY be the most meaningful career arena for the client. In all honestly, I was not a big fan when I first saw the inventory and took it myself. Once trained, I found the test appealing and am excited to use it with my clients!"
